Rotterdam terminal strike enters day three; 14 vessels at anchor

Dockworker unions extended the Rotterdam terminal strike after wage talks collapsed. Approximately 14 container vessels are waiting at anchorage with a further 22 due within 72 hours. Carriers are considering Antwerp-Bruges and Hamburg omissions. Shippers with time-sensitive cargo should evaluate airfreight for Europe-inbound electronics.
